Meet the Founder – Natashia Williams, MBA, M.Ed

Natashia Williams, MBA, M.Ed, is the Founder and President of Kurrency Kidz Inc., a Maryland-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth through financial literacy, leadership development, and job readiness training.

Driven by a passion to close the financial literacy gap among teens, Natashia founded Kurrency Kidz to teach young people how to make informed financial decisions, build confidence, and discover their potential to lead. Her mission is rooted in a simple but powerful belief — when you teach a child how to manage money, you teach them how to manage life.

With dual graduate degrees — a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Education (M.Ed) — Natashia brings a unique blend of business expertise and educational insight to every program. Her leadership style combines structure, strategy, and compassion, ensuring that Kurrency Kidz not only educates but also inspires.

Before launching Kurrency Kidz, Natashia spent years mentoring students, training educators, and building community initiatives that support youth success, entrepreneurship, and career readiness. Her background in financial services, nonprofit management, and instructional leadership has positioned her as both a visionary and a role model — one who leads with purpose, integrity, and heart.

Under her leadership, Kurrency Kidz has become more than a nonprofit — it’s a movement of empowerment that prepares the next generation to learn, earn, and lead with confidence. Through her guidance, hundreds of teens have gained financial knowledge, workforce experience, and life skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

When Natashia isn’t teaching or developing new programs, she’s collaborating with community partners, mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs, and speaking at schools and events to promote financial empowerment, educational equity, and leadership for youth.

Her vision for Kurrency Kidz is bold and lasting — to build a future where every young person, regardless of background, has the financial confidence, resources, and guidance to thrive.
